Board Certified Plastic and Aesthetic Surgeon – Michael J. Schenden, M.D. is a Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, located in Troy, Michigan with over 30 years experience. Dr. Schenden will meet with you personally for the entire consultation and will listen to your unique questions, desires and expectations.
Dr. Sarah M. Elswick
Board Certified Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon – Combining science, art and technology, Dr. Elswick’s passion for helping people is the driving force behind her dedication to her patients. Having devoted her studies and professional training to the fields of biology, medicine, healthcare management, general surgery and plastic surgery, Dr. Elswick’s elite education, certifications, specialized training and research repertoire are vast.
Courtney
Surgical Scrub Technician – Courtney received her National Certification in Surgical Technology after graduating from West Virginia University in Parkersburg, West Virginia in 2000. With almost twenty years of experience, Courtney is highly trained in keeping and maintaining a sterile field during the entire surgical case as well as being an assistant to Dr. Schenden. In addition, Courtney is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS). Her love of plastics began in Dallas, TX where she was a private Scrub tech for an Oculoplastic surgeon specializing in eyes.
After moving to Michigan in 2002, Courtney worked as a surgical tech at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak as well as being a Clinical Lab Instructor for the Surgical Technology Program at Oakland Community College in Southfield. Courtney joined our practice because of her passion for plastic surgery. She has a love for helping people feel confident about themselves and is honored to be part of a surgical team that produces amazing results.
Lorraine, RN
Surgical Circulator Nurse Lorraine graduated from Baker College located in Auburn Hills, Michigan in 2015 obtaining her nursing degree. She began her career as a Labor and Delivery nurse gaining 7 years of experience. During this time, she also worked as a circulating nurse at Henry Ford, specializing in transplant and vascular surgeries. Lorraine always had a passion for plastic surgery. As a circulating nurse at Revitalize she can fulfill this and experience the complete aesthetic world. She believes improving one’s self esteem and quality of life is priceless and enjoys being the patient advocate ensuring you are completely satisfied with your experience.
Tanya, RN
Surgical Recovery Nurse – Tanya graduated from Davenport University with her Bachelor of Science Nursing degree. She has worked in bedside critical care in adult and neonatal intensive care units for 7 years. With the experience of challenging and complex patient care, Tanya has developed a strong base of life support skills and attention to detail. Her greatest gratification is helping patients regain their strength, health and overall quality of life. Tanya believes there is a creative and artistic approach to Plastic Surgery and is excited to be a part of the team.
Cheryl, RN
Surgical Recovery Nurse – Cheryl comes to our practice with a long history of nursing experience. She earned her nursing degree from Dayton State College. As a preoperative nurse for 29 years she witnessed the life-changing transformations and new found confidence, with breast cancer, massive weight loss, burn, and wound care patients. As an aging professional, her goal is to look as good as she feels and is thrilled to make her mark on this exciting world of aesthetic nursing.- pursuing her certification as an Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner.
Theresa, RN
Surgical Recovery Nurse – Theresa graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy in 1994 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science. She spent her first 16 years of nursing in the emergency room at the hospital. She then started working in the pre-operative and post-operative care areas 7 years ago. Theresa works with Dr. Schenden when he operates at the hospital. After spending her entire career at the hospital she is excited to work in a smaller setting. She enjoys the 1 on 1 care and helping the patient feel comfortable with recovery and going home with all their questions answered.
