Dawn Ryan, RN, BSN, CRNFA
Operating Room Manager

Dawn Ryan is the manager of our Columbia Surgical Center. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Mercy College of Detroit in 1987. Dawn has been licensed as an operating room nurse since 1997 and is both ACLS and BCLS certified. She is a highly skilled registered nurse trained in all areas in our surgical center and is certified as a first assistant to the doctors during surgery.

Dawn chose to join our practice because of her love of plastic surgery. She thinks of plastic surgery as a “positive surgery that enhances one’s self esteem.” Dawn has over 26 years working in and around plastic surgery including time with a prominent surgeon to the stars in Beverly Hills. In addition, she has worked alongside Dr. Schenden in a hospital surgical setting and will use this knowledge to ensure your experience at our private surgical center will meet or exceed your expectations.


Gabrielle Adragna
Certified Surgical Technologist, CST
Certified Central Sterile Processing Technician, CSPT

Gabrielle received her associate’s degree in Surgical Technology from Macomb Community College. She is devoted to keeping a safe and sterile operating field to prevent surgical site infections and making sure the procedures run as smooth and efficient as possible. As Dr. Schenden’s surgical assistant, she works with all the team members, the circulating nurses, our anesthesia providers and the first assist to deliver safe and exceptional care to our patients. She chose to work at this practice because of the high level of teamwork and professionalism demonstrated daily by her fellow co-workers.


Tarra Martin
Registered Nurse

Tarra received her associate’s degree in nursing from Macomb Community College and a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing.  In addition, she is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS). She is dedicated to providing the highest quality level of care while promoting a safe and comfortable environment. As a circulating nurse in the operating room she takes on the role of patient advocate by addressing and evaluating any needs to ensure the best possible outcome. Tarra chose to work in our practice because of her love for plastic surgery, anatomy and learning new things.  She feels honored to work with a group of people who treat you like family and work as a team to produce such amazing results for all of our patients.


Theresa Mattia
Registered Nurse

Theresa graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy in 1994 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science. She spent her first 16 years of nursing in the emergency room at the hospital. She then started working in the pre-operative and post-operative care areas 7 years ago. Theresa works with Dr. Schenden when he operates at the hospital. After spending her entire career at the hospital she is excited to work in a smaller setting. She enjoys the 1 on 1 care and helping the patient feel comfortable with recovery and going home with all their questions answered.
